My deepest sympathies on Fr. Ben's passing. I was one of the youth at Sacred Heart of Jesus, and Fr. Ben was always involved with our Youth Club meeitngs, Sunday School, plays, candy-making and other fund-raisers, holiday parties, easter egg hunts, God Has Always Had a People choral event, basketball tournaments and other church activies. I (and all the youth at Sacred Heart) were so sad when you all left the area, but you all left such a wonderful lasting influence on us. With fond memories and deepest sympathies, Natalie Wisniewski

Father Ben was a priest I had known as a youth, while he served one of our parishes in Youngstown, Ohio, which is near my hometown of New Castle, Pa. I saw him often and had looked forward to being with him. Like so many, I enjoyed his company. He is the priest after which I had mostly modeled my own ministry as a priest and pastor, and especially as a worker with and minister to the youth of the Church. Soon after I was ordained a priest, he moved from Youngstown to serve our parish of Holy Name of Jesus in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, while I went from Buffalo to New England. We lost touch with each other. In recent years, I tried to get in contact with him again, but was unable to do so. He was a good, faithful, hard working, people-loving, Christ-loving priest, who was full of energy and joy, always looking to raise spirits and commune true fellowship. I am truly saddened that I never got to speak to him again, and to let him know how much he meant to me. I pray that Patty and his entire family will find comfort and peace in our Resurrected Lord in this time of grief and of separation from such a wonderful loved one. May Father Ben have eternal rest and peace in Christ.
