Obituary of Jeff Allen

Allen: Jeffrey Charles After a courageous struggle with cancer, Jeff passed away at the Douglas Memorial Hospital surrounded by the love and support of his family On Wednesday March 30, 2011 in his 40th year. Loving husband of Shari (nee Richardson). Proud father of Darcy and Bryson. Cherished son of Bob and Cheryl (nee Rutherford). Dear son in law to Ron and Stella Richardson and grandson in law of Alice Wehlann, and brother in law of Melissa (Eric) Van Viegen. Sadly missed nephew of Erna and Larry Blasko and cousins Bob Blasko and Susan Gudaitis and their families. He was adored by his nephews Zachary and Ryan . Also survived by his extended family and many friends. Predeceased by his grandparents, Charlie and Eva Rutherford, Herbert and Elsie Allen as well as William Wehlann and Freda and Farrell Richardson. Jeff was a teacher at Fort Erie Secondary School, a proud husband and father who enjoyed watching his son’s play sports. The boy’s, love of sports was received from their father who was an avid fan and participant, playing baseball and basketball as well as serving as a basketball referee and coach. Golf later became a passion of Jeff’s as a member of Bridgewater Golf Club. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-9 and Friday from 1-4 & 6-9. Funeral Services will be held in the Benner Funeral Chapel on Saturday morning at 11 o’clock. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. If so desired, contributions in Jeff’s memory to an account set up to assist with Darcy and Bryson’s education, or to the Jeff Allen Memorial Scholarship Fund at Fort Erie Secondary School would be appreciated by the family.
