To the Allen Family: My deepest symphathies to Jeff's family and friends in this uncondolable time. I had the honour to coach Jeff at Niagara College and his laughter, and passion for life and his love of basketball was evident on a daily basis. Unfortuantely the last time we spoke was a couple of years ago about coaching and referriing, and I will remember always that and the road trips which he made much easier . Jeff was a cherished childhood friend and a fixture of my days at both Rose Seaton School and later FESS. Jeff was in my class every year from grade 3 to highschool. I have so many memories of him making me laugh and us being "Shhh'd" - because he always seemed to be sitting in front of me.
I didn't have the pleasure of knowing him as an adult .. so I will always treasure the memories of our early days.

Sheri and family, no one has the words to make the pain go away but only comfort you. He was a great friend whom I enjoyed a lot of laughs with on and off the golf course and basketball court. I knew Jeff through the eyes of a basketball coach. Jeff was a true professional. Always approachable and I could see that he had a love for the game and the kids that were playing. I was also blessed to know Jeff through the eyes of his father-in-law, Ron , whom I coached with. Ron's pride and love for his son-in-law allowed me to know Jeff as a great father and a loving husband. Jeff will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. My sincere condolence to the entire Allen family. Jeff was guy who put all his energy into whatever he was doing at the time. Whether it be coaching, refereeing, spending time with his boys he gave it his all. I personally will remember the times on the basketball court when I refereed him in school and kibitzed back and forth and then having the tables turned when he was a referee and I was coaching. Jeff was a great coach to Evan in basketball, he taught him so much and it was touching to always see Darcy and Bryson by his side during practices and games. He was a terrific father, but he had great parents as examples all through his short life.
