Eleanor and I are so sorry to read of Dorie's passing. She was a wonderful Spirit and we enjoyed our interactions with her over the years at St. John's, Ridgemount. How well I remember the time someone whispered to me that I needed to speak louder when preaching, because Dorie was getting hard of hearing and was missing my message. Clumsily at the door of the church I offered to give her a written copy of my sermons before the service so she could follow along. Dorie straightened her back and proceeded to summarize my sermon of that day point by point. She could hear me just fine, thank you, sir. We have missed her in these last few years at St. John's. Now she is surrounded by Love.

My most sincere condolences . I have always called her Mrs. Emerson out of respect . Never saw her without a smile and always remembered me no matter how long we hadn't seen each other . A most wonderful woman full of grace and compassion , may she RIP with her pre-deceased family.

Sorry for your loss. Always loved to here about her adventures with her granddaughter. As well as her jokes that she would have to explain to me which she always thought was funnier then the joke. I will enjoy my memories of her and I hope you all do as well. Xo
