I still remember all the happy and funny stories about your Dad. His love for life, food, travels, and most of all, his little family.
Your eyes always light up everytime you tell stories about him, accompanied by warm, happy giggles, always. I can see and feel how much you love and care for your Dad.
Dear Vicky, Amy, and Izzy, please know that Derek lives forever in your hearts and is now hand in hand with your Mom. Always remember that we all will see each other again at heavens gate someday, surely.

IM really sad that your dad past on and I did not get to see him before his passing. In hind sight I should have went to the US with him this summer.
Derrick was a man that would not speak ill about people and was truly thankful for his family and friends. He never gave up and fought his way thru the hard times.
Some people would have given up but not him. Derrick was there when I needed him and never asked for anything in return.
Life should be worn gloriously to the very end and that he did.
