Obituary of Kathleen Ann Washburn

Washburn : Kathleen

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Kathleen Washburn at her home on May 23rd, 2024.  Kathy was born in Buffalo NY on January 2nd, 1950 and raised in Fort Erie.  She will be missed by sister Charlene (Bob 2018) Heckman and brother Donald (Peg) Haney.  Dearly loved by her nieces Michelle (Greg), Peggy, Kristen, Patty (Brian) and Colleen (Augusto).  Kathy also had a very special bond with her great nieces and nephews Shirelle, Brandon, Reilly, Brady, Carleigh (2010) and Molly.  She would want to be remembered first, for her deep faith in Christ and His message of salvation and secondly for her strong love of family.  An active member of the Golden Harvest Baptist Church where her warmth and generosity touched the lives of many.  Her deep-rooted faith guided every action, inspiring those around her to strive for greater compassion and understanding.  Prior to retirement, Kathy worked as a hairdresser at Crescent Park Lodge.

Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday May 28th at Golden Harvest Baptist Church (3130 Point Abino Rd N, Stevensville) at 11 o’clock.  The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m..  A reception will follow the service and private burial will take place.
