Al welcomed me to Niagara EMS with his smile in 2006 and was an influential and supportive colleague for me along my journey at a new EMS service. He was always a positive leader, and always had time to sit down and talk no matter how busy he was. So many great memories. You will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing you... Until we meet again.

I started working with Niagara EMS back in 2010, and Al was one of the kind souls that took me under his wing. His kind demeanor and constant smile made my experience as a new medic extremely positive and easy to integrate into NEMS. Through the years Al and I always enjoyed crossing paths and it almost always resulted in laughs. In 2015 I got married and reached out to NEMS to request an Ambulance to be a part of my wedding photos. It was Al that drove that ambulance all the way up to 20 Valley to deliver it so my Wife and I so we could take our wedding photos. I was so happy to see Al and he was so incredibly happy for us on our wedding day. I will never forget that time that Al came to my wedding and made our photos possible! He will forever be in our memories. My condolences to all of Al's family members. - Wes Doig

I had the honour and privilege to work with Al during my time at Niagara EMS! Al contributed so much to advancing Paramedicine in Niagara, Ontario and Canada, which will be his lasting legacy. I always knew Al to have a smile and great outlook each and every day he came to work. Al loved his Niagara EMS family and made their shifts so much better through his support and professionalism. Thank you to Al's family for sharing him over these many years.
