Obituary of Rebecca Kathleen Spencer Hill

Rebecca Spencer-Hill (nee Spencer)

March 25, 1972-March 17, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Rebecca. Born in Niagara Falls to Dr. William J. Spencer (DDS, retired) and Carol (nee Delduca) Spencer, and dear sister of Judy Spencer, Mark (Sandy Chew) Spencer, Deanna Spencer-Walker (Robert Walker), and Patricia Matheson (Matthew Matheson). Devoted to her husband Jeff Hill, she was a dedicated mother to her sons, Evan and Rhys Hill. She was an amazing Auntie “Becca” to Alyssa, Nate, Theo, Macarthur, Rizzo, Ozzy, Elberlyn, Calan, Jonah and Cypress. Rebecca is a loved daughter-in-law of Calvin and Celine Hill and sister in law of Greg and Steven Hill.   A member of a huge family, she will be missed by the many in her life who loved, cherished, and adored her.

Rebecca shared her passion for knowledge through the years not just as a mother, sister, and friend to many, but also in her role as an educator with the Niagara Catholic School Board, specifically at St. Michael High School in Niagara Falls. She was a committed friend, who was also quick witted, caring, and always willing to lend a hand or an ear. Surrounded by love, she passed at Douglas Memorial Hospital in her hometown and place of residence, Fort Erie, Ontario. Her family is endlessly grateful to the various healthcare professionals at The Walker Centre and Douglas Memorial for caring for our Rebecca.
