Scott and Joanne,
Charlie and I were sad to read about the passing of your mom and our friend.
As young couples with young families, we always enjoyed our times together.
As life goes on we grow older and families grow older too, leaving us less time to get together. Never the less, we have great memories. Kelly had a happy atmosphere around her and she will be remembered as our family's special friend. You are all in our prayers. God Bless Kelly and may she rest in peace.

My condolences go out to Joanne, Scott Tara and your families, and her sister and family in Buffalo
Being a lifetime friend of Joanne, I have such fond memories and great respect for Mrs Doan, such a classy beautiful woman. She would greet me with such intention and passion and you knew that She truly cared as we engaged in a lively conversation. Her passion for life, her faith , her family and others was evident in all that she said and did. May all of your beautiful memories of this incredible woman give you peace during the difficult time.
Sending my love
Susan Dello

Sad news. I was a student of Mrs, Doan and enjoyed her class and company. I wasn't a great student back then but Mrs, Doan was one of a few teachers who really helped me and believed in me. I have become a biologist with a MSc degree and research endangered species and environmental integrity and teach others now.. She added improvement to my life and education. Sending my condolences to her family and acknowledging her significant contributions to me personally. I'm sure she's helped many people in many different ways. God bless you Mrs. Doan. You are missed.
Sincerely,
Gord Parker

Mrs. Doan, over many years, has become a treasured dear friend of our family. Every visit with her was a guaranteed incredible loving conversation , with true care and compassion in all her spoken words. I always felt the “ cup was half full “ with optimism and hope after our visits ended, her guidance and common sense came so natural, doubtful she knew how much impact her words had. She leaves behind an incredibly beautiful family , starting with Joanne and Scott, all the way down to her great grandchildren, all who have wonderful traits that began with Mrs. Janet Doan. She will be missed. Sincerely, George & Pamela Mackie & Family

My memory of Janet was long before Shane and Scott were together. I remember being impressed by her presence in any room she was in. Always interested in what everyone else was doing, what sport you were involved in , and what trip you might be going on next. I remember asking her about the meals on wheels meals, and she said she was delivering them , not eating them! I was extremely impressed!! Sincere condolences to the entire family.

Heaven has gained a beautiful Angel! Our sincerest condolences to Scott and family and friends. One of the greatest teachers I ever had, Full of love, life, enthusiasm, joy, patience, fun, courage and beautiful gifted.
One of the many memorable stories I have is one day
Mrs. Doan caught on to a student named Rob Toppa who was always playing pranks or leaving class with some “excuse me” reason and Rob had been having a run on nose bleed for a few days. Rob was faking a nose bleed to get out of class. Rob would take red marker and soak the Kleenex with red ink and rush out to the washroom saying I’ve gotta go I have a nose bleed and leave. . Mrs.Doan let this go on for a few days. One day when Rob was gone Mrs. Doan decided to play a prank on him. She took a Kleenex and used blue marker doing the same as Rob. She told the class what she was going to do when Rob returned. When Rob returned Mrs. Doan took the Kleenex and put it to her nose and said the class I’ve got to go I’ve got a nosebleed rushing out of class and she left the room. When Mrs. Doan returned she apologized for leaving and explained that her and Rob have the same problem with nose bleeds. She asked Rob about his nosebleeds and if he knew the difference between their nose bleeds. He was caught. Mrs Doan went on to explain the difference is Robs blood is red and her blood is blue. Mrs Doan went in with this big story on how she’s related to the Royal family. The end of the story she told Rob she had caught on to this pranks, it was funny.
Most definitely the Royal Queen of Teachers!
She will be missed
