Obituary of Michael Robert Prontack

Prontack, Michael Robert “Dukes”

January 19, 1955- October 5, 2021

It is with heavy hearts and immense sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved father Michael Prontack, at the young age of 66. He left this world surrounded by the love of his family. He leaves behind his wife of many years Donna Prontack.  His children will forever have a huge whole in their hearts, Daughter Lyndsay Prontack her husband David Melnyk and Son Todd Prontack which he was inseparable from. Mike was very close to his grandchildren Owen and Hayden Melnyk. They say the bond between a papa and his grandchildren is one that can never be broken, it is through his children and grandsons that a piece of Mike will always live on. Mike was blessed with family and friends, far too many to mention by name, but we know their hearts are truly broken and will miss him terribly.

To know Dukes, is to love him and to expect a quick witted one liner followed by a contagious laugh! Everyone who knew him has definitely experienced his humor love and acceptance.  He loved to ride his motorcycle since the age of 16. We’d like to think he is enjoying a nice long ride, somewhere warm with the wind blowing past him. Above all, he was a family man. Family was everything to him and he cherished every moment together.

A Private Service by invitation will be held at Benner Funeral Services, Fort Erie. Capacity limits are in effect, masks and social distancing are mandatory. Vaccine Passports are not required at this time.  A livestream will be available via the Benner Funeral Services Facebook page on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 2PM.
