I new Mike from the old CCS days, and fixed many a car for him. I'm going to miss the big smile
and the laugh, spent many an hour at his place... The world just got a little colder today

Dear Kimmy, Ricky, Susan, family & friends...
I was saddened & so sorry to learn about Mikes' passing! I haven't stopped thinking about Mike these past few days. As you may remember, my family (Finbow) lived @ 365 Gerrard St. E., next door to the Prontack family, in the 70s. Mike & I spent time together (read: He was my boyfriend/I was his girfriend.) when we were in our mid-teens. He took me horse back riding in Stouffville once...yes, we played hookie from school. We rode mini-bikes near Rosedale Valley Road & Bayview. (My very first ride, I ran into a tree!) We certainly had a few adventures! It's nice to see that Mikes' love of motorcycles stayed with him! I remember Mike fondly & have some (crazy) good memories of him! My heart sunk (and I felt sick) as I read Harry Patricks' words on the "We Love Cabbagetown" group page! So young! Too young! Even though I left Regent Park in 1975.."this" really hit home with me! You can take us out of the Park but you can't take the Park out of us! It was absolutely the best place to grow up in! Such a shock! My sincere condolences to all of Mikes' family & friends! **Mike...Say "Hi!" to Mark for me, will you?**
Be well! Stay safe!

Mike is in my heart now and forever, he has always been my big brother, and that is how it will always be. Mike loved his cars, always taking us kids for rides through Rosedale to awe at the mansions, then we'd go to Dairy Queen on Potery Rd. His first car he bought, right after starting work at the Crown, was his Metalic Gold 1970 Superbee. What a beauty,
Mike used to pay me $1 or $2 to clean that car, and I loved doing it. I'll always miss the times we worked on his houses,
1st on Ashdale Ave. having beers and Italian Sausage, installing wainscoting in the living room, putting siding up with only about 2 feet between the houses, what a blast, Mike and myself at the top of the ladders, straight up, and I'm being pestered by bee's, and Mike would tell me to just ignore them, they'll go away, not, I got stung, then the laughter would start from Mike and my Brother Steve. I got to drive his bikes, the older dirt bikes and the Kawasaki 900, that 1 was a bit scary. These awesome memories are so great to have, knowing that they were created with my cool big brother Mike. Mike, you'll always have a warm place in my heart, and I'm sure I will see you again. Love Ya Bro. ♥️

A wonderful Life of my brother in my heart forever. He is always my big brother and a father figure given me my best un-forgetable memories growing up as a little baby sister. Playing conductor on our bunk bed; how to play card, taking me for motor cycle rides; picking me up from school and taking us for meatball subs...can never be replaced. As a fun and daredevil brother he showed me how he rode his motor cycle with his brother Steve, up and down the basement stairs and watching him and his brother having dart fights..our moments of pure love growing up as kids. My brother heart is one for the love of pets especially dogs, where he always take me to the dog shows at the CNE. He thought me how to swim by throwing me out a a row boat and let me become the life guard I am today. He is always a role model and I learned how to be brave and smart from his love and guidance. Michael has a blessed soul and we will cherish his life, smiles, and love forever.

Ah Christmas Eve with Santa actually it’s Mike playing Santa. We had so much fun taking turns sitting on Santa’s knee. Mike could never keep a straight face always the joker. Last picture is him reading instructions to set up the SS Enterprise for my son Michael.

Cindy and I send our deepest condolences to all of Mike’s family.
I feel as though I have lost my best friend. There are so many great memories of our days working at the Crown, our riding days. It will never be the same cruising down the roads of Muskoka without you next to me on that beautiful bike. That huge smile on your face. Every time I hear “Born To Be Wild” I will think of you my friend.
You left us way to soon but we will meet again over yonder Mike.

I will miss my little brother very much. He was loved by his parents and siblings. His deceased parents Bernice Joan Prontack nee Best, Father Walter Prontack, Sisters Susan Prontack and Kimberly Prontack, brothers Stephen and Richard and deceased brother Mark.
I have such wonderful memories of Mike laying on the floor with my children Michael and Tammy Christmas morning playing with the SS Enterprise. Michael my son would be crying to play with his toys but Uncle Mike was having so much fun. Every Christmas for years will always be in our hearts. We had such great times in our home.
One Halloween I dressed Mike up as a girl in my brown and white polka dot dress, fish net stocking, high heels, makeup and a wig. He won at the school contest. It was hilarious.
Mike, Steve Mark and Rick back in the 70's used to see who could have the highest platform boots and the colours! OMG it was too funny, lots of twisted ankles.
Miss you Mike, see you one day. Hope Harley, Chloe, Bogart and Emma are keeping you busy.
