Obituary of Maria Marino

Marino, Maurizzia 'Maria' Loving wife of the late Domenico Marino Passed away surrounded by her loving family at the age of 91. Born in Realmonte, Sicily, Italy on June 1st 1927 and moved to Canada in 1956. Survived by her 5 loving children Joseph Marino (Tatiana), of Fort Erie, Patrick Marino of Fort Erie, Dina Jones of Oakville, Angelina D'Ambrosio of Mississauga and Charlotte Marino of Mississauga Sadly missed by 7 grandchildren, Gregory (Katerina), Christopher, Nicole (Andrew) and Sam and 4 great grandchildren . Sadly missed by sister Calogera Fiannaca. Predeceased by parents Giuseppe and Angela La Gaipa. She will be greatly missed by many cousins, family members and friends Maria was a devoted and loving wife and mother. Her focus was primarily family and faith. She strived for peace courage, strength, health and joy. Maria enjoyed sewing and cooking for her family especially family gatherings and displayed a great sense of humour. She was a beautiful woman and will be remembered as an active, determined and strong willed woman. She was our Angel on earth and now resting in peace. Words cannot express how much we miss her. Benner Funeral Services 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 7-9 and Friday from 2-4 & 7-9. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10 am from St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
