Obituary of Fred Popering

POPERING, FRED L. - Fred peacefully passed away on Thursday May 10th 2018, at the Welland Hospital at the age of 71. Beloved husband to Adela for 47 years. Loving father of Krista (Bill) Connor and Philip Popering, and cherished grandfather to William and Andrew Connor. Fondly remembered by the members of the DiFrancesco family, mother in law Adela DiFrancesco, sister in law Maria Flacco, brother in law Louie DiFrancesco and nieces Claudia (Kyle) Griffis and Lauren Flacco. Also survived by Uncle Arie Kentie, many cousins and many dear friends, especially Don and Sharon Walker and Earl and Vali Mehlenbacher. The Dahl and Brown families were an important part of Fred's life. Predeceased by parents Fred Sr and Trijntje Popering, sister Miepeke Popering, father in law Luigi DiFrancesco and brother in law Joseph DiFrancesco as well as his stepmother Viola S. Dahl Brown Popering. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family invite friends to share memories and refreshments at the Italo Canadian Club (1101 Dipietro St, Fort Erie) on Saturday May 19th from 12 - 2 pm.
