Obituary of Bob Heckman

Heckman, William Robert "Bob" A loving husband, father and grandfather, Bob passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Maple Park Lodge on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the age of 77.He was the beloved husband of Charlene (Haney) for over 52 years. Devoted father of daughters Kristen Heckman and Patty (Brian) O'Rourke. He was the cherished "Papa" of Reilly, Brady and Molly.He was predeceased by his granddaughter Carleigh. He also leaves behind his sisters, Barbara Aubin, Cindy (John) Palumbo, Jennifer (Abdou) Saouab, and his brother John (Shirley) Heckman; brother-in-law Donald (Margaret) Haney; sister - in-law Kathy Washburn; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.He was well known and well loved by everyone in his community.We will always remember the support and care provided by Dr. Che and all the staff at Maple Park Lodge. Family, friends and others whose lives Bob has touched are invited to Benner Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2018. A Celebration of Bob's Life will take place at the funeral home on Friday, March 9th at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Ronald McDonald House in Hamilton in memory of Bob's granddaughter Carleigh or to a charity of your choice.
