Obituary of Blaine Hazlett

HAZLETT: Blaine Allen- Passed away peacefully on Friday, February 2, 2018 at the Douglas Memorial Hospital, Fort Erie after a courageous battle with cancer in his 74th year. Pre-deceased by his parents George (Pete) and Edna (Meehan). Beloved husband to Darlene (Riddell). Loving dad to Christopher (Anna) and Jennifer (Jay). He will be missed by his adoring grandchildren Jordan, Amanda, Dylan, Noah and Kristen. Dear brother to Shari. Also survived by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, nephews, God children, many dear friends and neighbours. Blaine is pre-deceased by his brothers Bill, Jim, Bryce, sister Janice, brother-in-law Gary Post and niece Katie Benner. Blaine was a retired employee of CN and Via Rail. Blaine loved being part of Fort Erie Minor Hockey as a coach for many years, he was also a former member of the Simcoe Jr. Blades Hockey Club. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at Benner Funeral Home, 1105 Benner Avenue, Fort Erie on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 1:00 till 4:00 p.m. A memorial Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Martha Lockwood officiating.
