Obituary of Ray Van Osch
Adrian "Ray" Van Osch died peacefully on the morning of October 3, 2017, surrounded by his family, at the age of 70.
Ray is survived by his wife, Judi; children, Tracy (Darren) Kearns, Katrina (Brian) Saxon, Alicia (Jim) Lundy and he was a special Opa to Liam and Fergus Kearns. Also survived by sisters, Elizabeth Reaker, Catharine Warner (Ken), Thea Miller (Gord); brothers Jerry (Gloria) and Edward; sister-in-laws Dorothy Van Osch, Marianne Van Osch, Shirley Van Osch and Sandra Dunworth; brother-in-law Bruce Tracey (Marie) and over 100 nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Ray was predeceased by his brothers, Rene, Bill and Tony; his parents, Adrianus and Hendrika and his in-laws Doug and Marie Tracey.
Ray was born on January 13, 1947, in the Netherlands to Adrianus and Hendrika Van Osch. Ray was a respected employee at the Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority and was an accomplished carpenter and arborist. He was a kind and generous individual who loved adventure and who was passionate about caring for the environment. He was an active and dedicated blood donor and always there to lend a hand.
At Ray's request, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cystic Fibrosis Canada or the ALS Society of Canada. Many thanks to the wonderful and compassionate Dr. Kim Scher, and his dedicated team of caregivers.
