Obituary of Elaine Greggain

GREGGAIN, Elaine (nee Cotter) - passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at Rapelje Lodge, Welland on Saturday, May 27, 2017 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of Thomas Hilton "Tony" Greggain for 73 years. Loving mother of Gail Bown (late Jim), Tom (Amy) and Mary Ellen Tabor (late Don). Cherished grandmother of Christopher (Tanya), Stephen (Michelle), T.J. (Lyndsay), Andrew (Courtney), Kailey (Korwin) and Kyle and loving great grandmother of Paige, Carter, Alyssa, Thomas, Keeton and Kia. Dear sister of Marion Knowles. Elaine was predeceased by her brothers Donald, Ken and Bob Cotter. She will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Elaine worked as a Secretary for the Niagara Regional Police and was a long-time member of St. Michael's Church and the C.W.L. She volunteered many hours at Douglas Memorial Hospital, Gilmore Lodge and the Red Cross and will be remembered as the "Rose Queen" at the Fort Erie Horticultural Society where she was a member. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Thursday June 1stth from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Prayer Vigil will be held at 3:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, 310 Central Ave., Fort Erie on Friday June 2nd at 11 am.
