Obituary of Barbara Simpson

SIMPSON, Barbara Evelyn: November 20, 1935, 79 years of age Barbara Simpson, entered into eternal peace on Monday, August 31, 2015, at Maple Park Lodge in Fort Erie, Ontario. Barbara was born on November 20, 1935, daughter of the late Ernest and Bertha Simpson. She graduated from Fort Erie High School, furthering her studies obtaining a degree in nursing from Western University in London, Ontario (1964). Barbara dedicated her adult years until retirement teaching nursing to students at George Brown college in Toronto, Ontario. Barbara enjoyed her time off travelling around the world. She was predeceased by her loving, older brother Harry Simpson (1990). She leaves behind her dedicated Sister-In-Law Millie Simpson of Fort Erie, ON; her Aunt Marjorie Thombs (Fort Erie, ON); her devoted nephews and nieces, Rory (Cheryl) Simpson (Winnipeg, MB), Kevin Simpson (Kim) (Stevensville, ON), and Lisa Simpson (Fort Erie, ON). Her lovely great nieces and nephews, Laura (Kevin) Cayer (Winnipeg, MB), Leslie (Michael) Bernier (Ste. Anne, MB), Adam Simpson (Fort Erie, ON), Ashley Simpson (Joe) Niagara Falls, ON, Julia Toppazzini (Fort Erie, ON) Her beautiful great-great nieces and nephew, Katrina & Chloe Cayer (Winnipeg, MB) Delia, Sophie and Charlie Bernier (Ste. Anne, MB) Cremation has taken place. Interment will be for all family and friends at Greenwood Cemetery. Pastor Stan Bursey of Bethel Pentecostal Assembly will be officiating. The family of Barbara Simpson would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to, Dr. Kim Scher & staff for their excellent care and accommodation of Barbara's needs during her stay at Maple Park Lodge, Darren Flagg and staff at Benner Funeral Services, the Dr's, Surgeons and staff at the Fort Erie, Niagara Falls and Hamilton Hospitals, friends who have supported Barbara directly either through prayers or visiting and Fred Sault for his dedicated weekly visits.
