Obituary of Albert Simon

Simon: Albert C. (Si) On May 5th, 2015 in his 96th year, Albert Simon peacefully departed us. Survived by his sister Ruth, sons Jon, Roger and Steve (Cathy), Grandsons Steven and Corey, Granddaughter Jennifer and Great Granddaughter Evelyn along with numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his loving wife Evelyn in 2004. Albert lived a rich rewarding life. He served in the European Theatre during World War 2 from 1939 till 1945. Si was a proud veteran and longest standing member of the Fort Erie Legion Branch 71 for over 70 years. He retired from Canada Customs after a 32 year career. Si enjoyed spending time watching golf and horse racing. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. A special thank you to the nurses and staff at Gilmore Lodge who took such great care of Si during his time there. He so much enjoyed joking with all of you. A Memorial Service and celebration of Si's life will be held at Branch 71 of the Fort Erie Legion on Saturday May 30th 2015 at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to Branch 71 or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
