Obituary of Ida Mae Kaltenecker

Kaltenecker: Ida Mae (nee Hurst) Ida Mae passed away peacefully at Gilmore Lodge in Fort Erie on May 6th, 2015. Born in Bertie Township on July 18th, she is predeceased by her parents Wilmer and Jean Hurst, her husband Douglas Kaltenecker, her siblings Howard Hurst, Dorothy Dobson , Edna Shaw, brother- in-laws John Dobson and Tom Shaw and nephews Benjamin Hurst and Thomas Shaw Jr. Ida Mae will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews Daniel (Mary) Hurst, Jacqueline (Henry) Nadalin, Susan (late Richard) Shular, Craig (Jocelyne) Dobson, Roderick ( Mary) Shaw, Kimberley (Allan) Hughson and Randall (Rozina) Shaw. Dear cousin of Githa Kiefer. She will be fondly remembered by her close and longtime friend Lawrence Alexander who visited her every day as well as good friends John and Martha Gardner. Ida Mae retired from Canadian Gasket.will be remembered for her love of and accomplishments in Figure Skating, her enjoyment of sports especially softball, bowling and horseback riding. Her love of family and friends was consistantly shown, often through her ability and love of baking. The family express their appreciation to Dr. David Henry as well as the nurses and staff of Gilmore Lodge for the compassionate care they provided. Benner Funeral Services 1105 Benner Ave Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The Family will receive friends on Saturday May 9th, 2015 from 10am till time of service at 11am in the Benner Chapel. Reception to follow at Kinsmen Hall at the Fort Erie Leisureplex. Interment will be in the Hagersville Cemetery, Hagersville Ontario. If so desired, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
