Obituary of Art Almon

Almon : Arthur William Art passed away at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Sunday June 29th, 2014 at the age of 80. Cherished husband of Margaruite. Proud father of Joseph Almon, Leanne (Keith) Brown and John (Agnes) Almon. Cherished grandfather of , Jennifer, Matthew, Alexandria, McKinley and Logan. Also survived by his sister Mary McDougal, and a large extended family. Art served proudly with the Royal Canadian Air Force and was a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus. The family wish to extend their appreciation to the wonderful staff of Maple Park Lodge in particular Janine, for the compassionate and dignified care that was given to Art. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Wednesday July 2nd from 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church on Thursday morning at 11:30. Interment to follow in St. Michael's Catholic Church Cemetery. If so desired, donations to Maple Park Lodge or the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family.
