Obituary of Virginia Burkley

Burkley : Virginia "Mavis" (Nee Pollard) Born July 23, 1938 in Welland, Ontario, passed away May 10th, 2014 in Fort Erie, Ontario. Loving mother of Pam and Mike Renshaw. Cherished grandmother of Samantha. One of 9 children of the late James and Vera Pollard, she is survived by her brothers Ken (Ann), Doug (Betty) and Keith and her sister Diana. She is also survived by her sister in law Helen Pollard and her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Twila and Loretta and brothers Ron and Roland as well as her sister in law Blanche, brother in law John Threlfall and her companion Herb Deare The family extend special thanks to Dr. Scher, Dr. Che and Dona Donald as well as the staff of Maple Park Lodge for their compassion and dignified care. The family will celebrate Virginia's Life on Wednesday morning at 11 am in the Chapel of James L. Pedlar Funeral Home, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family.
