D'ENTREMONT, Denise - Denise passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Douglas Memorial Hospital at the age of 85. Beloved wife of Walter. Proud mother of Pierre, Rita (Paul Schenk) and Marc d'Entremont. Loving grandmother of Siobhan Schenk. Denise will be sadly missed by her sister Jeanine Carmen Piche, her brother Claude (Yolande) Piche, her sister-in-law Claire Labelle, plus numerous nieces and nephews. Denise was a proud and active volunteer of the Fort Erie and Niagara regional community. A long-time member of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church and the CWL. A member for almost 35 years with the Douglas Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, a recipient of a Paul Harris Fellow Award from the Rotary International, the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal, a member of various Town of Fort Erie committees, the Ontario Genealogical Society and the Ontario Trillium Foundation. She worked as an elementary school teacher in Montreal (notably at the Institute Nazareth et Louise-Braille) and for a short time a part-time French teacher in the Niagara Region. BENNER FUNERAL SERVICES (1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie) entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Friday December 20th from 2-4 & 7-9. Parish Prayers at 3:30. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church on Saturday morning at 11am. If so desired, donations to the charity of your choice.
