Obituary of Glenn Hutton
After a courageous battle, Glenn passed away at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Saturday October 26th 2013 at the age of 85. Cherished husband of Johanna. He will be sadly missed by his brother Donald Robert (Mary) Hutton, his sister Mary, niece Cathy, great nieces and nephews, Johanna Neff and the members of the Hameka family and his many wonderful friends. Fondly remembered by his children Glenn Jr. and Darlene (Mike) Seymour and his grandchildren. Predeceased by his first wife Joan and his second wife Helen. Also survived by Helen's son Don.
Glenn was a long-time employee of the CNR and served as the local union president and shop steward. An active community member of Fort Erie, Glenn was a member of the Kinsman Club, served as C.O. of the Air Cadets Squadron 337, the Army Cadet Corp 2966 and as the Training Supply officer for many years for the Sea Cadets in Welland. Glenn's political involvement included twice running for the Town's mayoral position. Glenn will be remembered by the many friends he met dancing and playing music.
Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9. Funeral Services will be held in the Benner Funeral Chapel on Saturday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment to follow in McAffee Cemetery. If so desired, donations to the charity of your choice in Glenn's memory would be appreciated by the family.
