Proud father of Nancy Moore (David) and Jodie Moore Madgett (Duane). Cherished grandfather of Maiya and Ben. Sadly missed by his sister Wendy MacKenzie. Peter was a long-time resident of Burlington and moved to Ridgeway in his later years where he enjoyed the town and the beach. He worked as a Territory Manager for Shell Canada and later for the Halton Board of Education as Athletic Convener. An accomplished official of football, basketball and fastball, he was known by most, as "Two Six”. Despite his awards and achievements, his belief that the game’s integrity and the participant’s enjoyment was paramount, making him a mentor and role model to many young officials and athletes. Peter was well known for his humour, storytelling and was never one to back away from a sporting pool or side bet. Many thanks to the kind staff at Maple Park Lodge for their amazing, compassionate care and friendship. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave. Fort Erie entrusted with Private family services. Peter’s generosity was surpassed only by his humility and random acts of kindness. In keeping with his spirit, secretly do something kind for someone or, for those that prefer, donations to the Canadian Special Olympics would be appreciated by the family. www.bennerfuneralservices.com
