Dear Sandy and the McDermott family,
I was sorry to learn of Mickey's passing. He fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith. I will let my brother know as he always called Mickey the "best baseball coach he ever had".
Take comfort in the fact that you were able to keep him comfortable at home for most of his illness and that he loved each of you dearly. May he rest in peace
