Obituary of Bob Unruh

Born May 14, 1937, February 4th, 2013 Bob died peacefully at home with the love of his family by his side. He worked for over 40 years for the O.J.C. racetrack at Woodbine. He loved the action that the races would give him. He was a horse owner for 15 yrs. He was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, coming to Toronto when he was 7 yrs. old. He was the youngest of 6 children. Survived by his loving wife Vera (nee Walton) of Stellarton N.S., his daughters Donna Prontack (Mike) of Fort Erie, his son Danny Unruh of Winnipeg, Step-daughter Sandra Murphy of Windsor, Step-son Gary Murphy Fort Erie, granddaughters Julie, Lyndsay, Sarah and Heather and grandsons Kenny and Todd, his great grandsons Owen, Hayden and Jeremey. Also survived by his sisters, Helen Irvine (Ken) of Vancouver, Betty (Jack) Greenwood of Toronto, Ruby & Roland Pacquette of Calgary, Sisters in law, Freda Boyd of Victoria Harbour, Betty Lou and Buddy Thomas of Halifax, Brenda Duffy of Stellarton, Sharon and Angus Murphy of Trenton, Patsy Coady of Port Dover, Brothers in law Bob and Gail Walton of Vancouver, Bill Andrews of Belleville and John Coady of Toronto and Mickey McGivern of Pembrook. Predeceased by his parents Elizabeth and Peter as well as sisters Catharine and Evelyn. Memorial Services will be held May 14th from 1 pm until 5 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 71 Fort Erie (Central Ave. & Garrison Rd) I
