Obituary of John Sciortino

Sciortino: Giovanni "John” The family are saddened that after a courageous battle John passed away at the Welland County Hospital on January 2nd 2013 at the age of 82. Loving husband of Josephine. Proud father of Jennie (Joe) Monachino. Cherished grandfather of Daniela Monachino and Salvatore Monachino. Also survived by his brother Joe (Rosetta) Sciortino, his brother in law Vince Trupiano his sister in law Franca Trupiano his many friends and his extended family including special cousins Michele and Teresa Sciortino and Calogero and Maria Tuttolomondo. John was employed as a Supervisor with the Niagara Parks Commission for over 40 years . Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday January 5th at 10 am from St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church in Fort Erie. Entombment to follow in Fairview Mausoleum Niagara Falls. Special thanks to Dr. Lagrotteria and the Doctors, nurses and staff at the Dialysis Unit, Welland Hospital.
