Foster, Joan “Jone” Christine (nee Livingston) It is with profound sadness that we announce Jone’s passing. After a long and courageous battle with breast cancer, Jone passed away at home surrounded by the love and support of her family on Sunday September 23 in her 61st year. Most beloved wife, best friend and soul mate of Randy for 40 years. Cherished and loving mother of Chris (Darquise), Katie (Chad) and Jim. Adored and devoted Grandma to Sydney, Abigayle, Benjamin, Mollee and Sophie Dog. Loving Sister and best friend of Susan Nagy, Liz Dundas, Bob (Kate) Livingston and Nancy Missana. Sadly missed sister-in-law of Wendy Ward, Debbie Foster Sherry (Rick) Phibbs and Barb Foster. Jone leaves behind many adoring nieces, nephews and friends. Born in St. Catharines, Jone is predeceased by her parents William James and Lela Livingston, her in-laws Vern and Shirley Foster and her brother-in-laws Richard and Terry Foster. Jone held a special place in her heart for the staff at the Queenston-Lewiston Duty Free Shop where she worked for 23 years as the Assistant Manager. Our Family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Kim Scher, Dr. Janice Giesbrecht, St. Elizabeth Nurses Pat and Margie as well as the Oncology Nursing Staff at St.Catharines General and the Nursing Staff at Douglas Memorial. Your special care and dedication to Jone/our Mom was wonderful and greatly appreciated over the last few years. Jone’s incredible strength, desire to make life better for everyone around her, thoughtfulness, compassion, understanding and love for her family & friends are an example to all she leaves behind and will be remembered forever. Benner Funeral Services (1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie) have been entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Friday September 28th from 1pm- 4pm and 6pm- 9pm. A Private Funeral will be held. If so desired, contributions in memory of Joan can be made to the Oncology Unit at the St. Catharines General Hospital or to the Palliative Care Unit at Douglas Memorial Hospital. “Remember I will be watching over you all from above, love Jonie.”
