Obituary of Joan Victory Jones

Reunited with her late husband Robert C. "Bob" Jones, after a courageous battle, Joan passed away at the Douglas Memorial Hospital on Monday September 28, 2009 in her 86th year. Loving mother of Robin (Bonnie), Bunny (Harry) Bremner and Joan (David) Klacko. Cherished Grandma of Victory, Eileen, H.R., Katrina, Grant and Grace, and sadly missed by 8 great-grandchildren Camille, Molly, Cole, Dylan, Clay, Nolan, Alivia, Chyna, Bobby and several nieces and nephews. Joan moved from Toronto during WWII to work at Fleet Industries. A loving and caring woman, Joan supported her family and shared in their triumphs. Joan and Bob made many wonderful friends from their activities and involvement with the Beachcombers Senior Centre and the Royal Canadian Legion Br. # 71. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3-5 & 7-9. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church on Friday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. If so desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
