Obituary of Helmut "Alec" Strom

Strom: Helmut "Alec” While surrounded by the love and presence of his family Alec passed away at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Saturday September 17th, 2011 in his 77th year. Loving husband of Wilma. Proud father of Christine (James Rick) and Richard (Leslie). Cherished grandfather of Shannon (Shawn), Shelby, Lucas, Madison and Noah. Also survived by his brother Siegmund, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and close friends. Predeceased by his father Theodore, mother Lydia and brother Hubert. Alec was a devoted family man and a pioneer franchisee of Tim Hortons. He was a well known, respected businessman and a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Erie. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave. Fort Erie, entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-9. Funeral Services will be conducted in the Benner Funeral Chapel on Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. If so desired, donations to the Tim Horton’s Children’s Foundation or the Trinity Lutheran Church Accessibility fund would be appreciated by the family.
