Surrounded by the love of his family, John passed away at the Douglas Memorial Hospital on Friday September 2nd, 2011 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Bridget Mary (nee Connell). Dear father of Maureen (Danny) Weaver, Bridget, Bernadette (Ron), Kathleen (Daniel Tolley), Tommy and John Glynn, Patricia (Jim) Doyle and Carmel (Russ) Fernandes.
Cherished grandfather of Hannah and Ethan Doyle, Bridget and Eric Fernandes, Emma and Kalin White, Courtney (Josh) Connor (nee Weaver), Jason Glynn, Brendan Weaver and Kate, Meagan, Jillian, Colleen and Kelsey Kleovoulos. Sadly missed by great grandchildren Erin Connor and Jason Glynn.
Brother of Michael, Martin, Thomas, Delia, Bernadette and Carmel.
Predeceased by father Jack Glynn and sons Brendan and Kieran and sisters Maureen, Phyllis, Martha, Nancy and Theresa Glynn.
Jack (as most knew him by) was a proud Irish man from the town of Caherglissane Gort Co. Galway (in Ireland) and also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends from 2-4pm and 7-9pm Sunday September 4th with Vigil Prayers at 4pm. A Funeral Mass to honour his life will be held on Monday September 5th at 11am at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, 310 Central Avenue, Fort Erie. Interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery (Snyder). Donations to the Douglas Memorial Hospital’s Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by the family.
