Obituary of Dorothy Toulmin

Toulmin: Dorothy D. St. J. Surrounded by her family, Dorothy passed away at the Bella Sr. Care Residence in Chippawa on Sunday Dec. 12th, in her 89th year. Proud and loving mother of Susan (Fred) Rogers, Janet (David) Devine, Diane Toulmin and John (Lisa) Toulmin. Cherished grandmother of John, Jonah, Joseph, Ruby, Eliza, Sarah, John and Byron, and great grandmother of 6. Sadly missed sister of Clifford (Pam) Brogden in England and Norma Armstrong of Philadelphia, and many cousins, nieces and nephews throughout Canada and the USA. Predeceased by her parents Clifford and Mabel Brogden, her husband John (Jack) Toulmin and her great granddaughter Abby Gordon. Dorothy was proud of her lifelong affiliation and devotion to the Order of St. John, receiving it’s highest honour when on June 7, 2003 she was awarded the "Dame of Grace”. The family wish to extend a special thank you to good friend Carol Susin and the Susin Family along with the staff of Bella Senior Care Residence, Legends Neighbourhood for the exceptional care that was provided to Dorothy. Benner Funeral Services 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 6-8 pm on Friday December 17th for a time of sharing, remembering and light refreshments. If so desired, donations to Bella Sr. Care Residence would be appreciated by the family.
