Obituary of Gertrude Marie Benner

BENNER, Gertrude Marie - Born August 15, 1921 in Bertie Township. She passed away peacefully on August 8, 2018 in her 97th year. Daughter of the late Chester and Ella Benner. She was predeceased by her sisters, Mae (Os) Spear; Fran (Art) Osborn; and Bette (Pete) Bothwell. She will be greatly missed by her brother Philip (Ethel) Benner. She also leaves behind her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Trudie worked as a medical secretary at the Douglas Memorial Hospital for 35 years. Trudie loved her nieces and nephews like her own and considered her family the "heart" of life. She loved attending concerts, playing cards, travelling and spending time with her family and friends. A private service will be held at a later date. BENNER FUNERAL SERVICES has been entrusted with arrangements.
