Obituary of Elizabeth Catherine Packer

PACKER, Elizabeth Catherine Elizabeth passed away at Millennium Trail Manor on December 1, 2018 at the age of 94. Predeceased by her loving husband of 70 years, Frank Packer (2017). Devoted mother of Bill (Ginette) and Robert (Karen) and cherished grandmother of Gregory and Kevin. Born in Hamilton on August 20, 1924, Betty Upper grew up in Welland, where she became a life-long member of the "Oakwood Avenue Girls." After briefly living and working in Thorold and Buffalo, she and Frank settled in Fort Erie where her talents as a homemaker and mother truly blossomed. In her later years she became an avid golfer, spending many summers in the company of her friends in the Rio Vista ladies league. Her loving, caring ways will be greatly missed by the family that was so fortunate to have had her in their lives. Benner Funeral Services has been entrusted with private family arrangements.
