Obituary of Jeffery Owen Eggleton

Jeffery Eggleton passed away at the Southlake RegionalHealth Center in Newmarket on Saturday January 11th, 2014 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of the late M. Lorraine (nee Thomas). Proud father of Robert (Rosanne) Eggleton and Christine (Peter) Hatzidiakos. Loving grandfather of Makayla, Mitchel, Kosta, Hannah and Sofia. Jeff retired as an Electrician with CN. An active and proud member of the community, amongst others, he was a member of the Lions Club, the Coast Guard Auxiliary, The Power Squadron, Meals on Wheels and the Royal Canadian Legion. Jeff has been the proud recipient of many awards including the Governor General's Caring Canadian Award, the Outstanding SAR Achievement Award (NSS) and the CCGA Leadership medal, a Certificate of Merit from the NY State Senate and (with Lorraine) the 2005 Provincial Senior Award. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. A service to celebrate Jeff's life will be held on March 8th at 11 am at St. Paul's Anglican Church.
