Obituary of Fred Joseph Kowalski

KOWALSKI, Fred- It is with great sadness the family of Fred Kowalski announce his sudden, but peaceful passing on Wednesday March 29, 2017. Predeceased by his parents Ziggy and Helen; first wife Wanda; and second wife Sally Kowalski, he is survived by his children Stan (Kim), of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; Mike (Shari),of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Linda (Jim) Saari-Randall, of Niagara Falls, Ont.; Terry (Margaret) Runka, of St. Catharines; Kathy (Len) Wall, of Fort Erie; and Karen Audet (Tim Marazzo), of Fort Erie. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and many wonderful friends and neighbours. Fred served as a member of the U.S. Airforce Reserves and later worked for many years at Carborundum, in Niagara Falls, NY. Funeral services are entrusted to Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie where the family will receive friends on Thursday March 30th from 6 to 9 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday March 31st at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church (Fort Erie) at 11 a.m. If so desired, donations to the Douglas Memorial Hospital Palliative Care unit would be appreciated by the family.
