Obituary of David Clarence Mellis

Mellis : David, Clarence David passed away at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital in St. Catharines on Tuesday October 16th, 2012 in his 76th year. Loving husband of Marlene (nee Law). Proud father of Jo-Anne Mellis. Cherished grandfather of Curtis, Patrick, Cassandra, David and Amanda. Sadly missed by his sister Mary Lou Lowe. Predeceased by his sons Michael and Ronald. David spent most of his working life as a property assessor. He was a proud member of Mimico Masonic Lodge 369 A.F. & A.M and a member of the Niagara Rameses Shrine Club. David was an integral and active part of the establishment of the Peace Ranch dedicated to helping individuals with schizophrenia. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave. Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. Friends and Family are invited to a service to celebrate David`s Life in the Benner Funeral Chapel on Tuesday October 23rd at 1 pm. If so desired, donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
