Obituary of Maria Francesca Portolesi

Portolesi : Maria Francesca (nee Cirillo) Maria Portolesi passed away at the Gilmore Lodge Home for the Aged on Saturday January 28th at the age of 98. Loving wife of the late Rocco. She leaves her loving children Angela Anderson, Russ (Joy Anne) Portolesi, Ida (Al) Hutchinson and Cathy Portolesi. Cherished Noni of Carlee and Andrew Portolesi, Chris Anderson, Lisa (Gerry) Anderson-LaFlamme, Kristen (Phil) Hutchinson, Rocky, John, Domenic Jr. and MaryAnne. She will be sadly missed by her adoring great grandsons Raiden and Daxon who provided her with endless laughs, beautiful artwork and the hugs and kisses she so welcomed. Also survived by her many nieces and nephews and extended family. Predeceased by her son Domenic, son-in-law Mike Anderson and brother Joe Cirillo. The family extend their gratitude to the outstanding staff at Gilmore Lodge who provided such loving and personal care. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Thursday February 2nd from 2-4 and 7-9. Parish prayers to be offered at 3:30. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Church on Friday at noon. A reception will follow the interment at Greenwood Cemetery. If so desired, donations to the Gilmore Lodge Auxiliary would be appreciated by the family.
