Niece Teresa posted a condolence

I first met Fred when he began to go out with my aunt Enid. I was about 13 at the time. We stayed in touch over all the years between then and now and have enjoyed many family functions together.
I will miss Fred for many reasons but especially for his dry sense of humour and his interesting stories about his time in the navy.
We feel honoured to have been with him at the end of his life but even more honoured to have had him as part of our lives for so many years.
We will never forget him.

No person is ever truly alone.
Those who live no more,
Whom we loved,
Echo still within our thoughts,
Our words, our hearts.
And what they did
And who they were
Becomes a part of all that we are,
Forever.

Bonnie Pledger and family posted a condolence

As cousins, Fred and I found each other late in life. We became close in a short time. I wish we had spent more time together, but distance prevented that. I will miss him very much.
Our deepest condolences to Leanna and the Rol family.
