Obituary of Walter Richard Wissler

Surrounded by love, Walter passed away on August 23rd, 2019 at the age of 96. Loving husband Anna for over 68 years. He will be sadly missed by his adopted family Anne Lalor, Elizabeth and David Fowler, Bernadette and Robert Morton, Michael and Leanne Lalor and their children and grandchildren as well as Lorna Possler and her family. Fondly remembered by many family and friends in Germany and Canada. Walter was a Power Engineer, a long-time employee at Douglas Memorial Hospital and an avid traveller. The family thanks the staff at Gilmore Lodge and Dr. Claudius Che for their warmth, compassion and exceptional care. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Thursday August 29th from 10 am until the time of service in the chapel at 11 o'clock. A luncheon will follow. If so desired, donations to the Gilmore Lodge Auxiliary would be appreciated by the family.
