After a courageous battle with cancer Mary Ann (nee McIntyre) passed away at the Douglas Memorial Hospital on Saturday February 21st, 2015 at the age of 77. Loving wife of John for 57 years. Proud mother of Dianne (Craig) Booker, Donald (Bonnie) Carver and Tim (Denise) Carver. Cherished grandmother of Carolyn (Dean) Cober, Karen Booker, Thomas Booker, Emily Carver, Hannah Carver, Amelia Carver and Jack Carver. Beloved sister of Donald (Joan) McIntyre and sister in law of Leona Lightheart, Harold (Stella) Carver, Jean (Lyle) Hawkins, Ken (Lucille) Carver and Carol (Dan) Brunt. Also survived by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Ruby McIntyre, her father and mother in law David and Ruth Carver and brothers and sisters in law, Gordon Lightheart, Rose (Charlie) Fish, Evelyn Roth, Shirley (George) Fish and Shelia Carver.
Mary Ann was devoted to her family and will be fondly remembered for her love of quilting which she won many awards for and warm the homes of her family.
The family extend their appreciation to the caregivers from CCAC, Dr. K. Scher and the Douglas Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit for the compassionate care provided to Mary Ann.
Benner Funeral Services entrusted with arrangements. A service to celebrate Mary Ann's Life will be held in the Benner Funeral Chapel on Tuesday February 24th at 3 pm. If so desired, memorial donations to Camp Kahquah would be appreciated by the family.
