Obituary of Lois Miriam James

James, Lois Miriam (nee House) - Lois passed on to her heavenly home peacefully in her sleep Monday, August 28th, at Nithview Nursing Home, New Hamburg. Lois was born on September 13th, 1924 - daughter of the late Fred and Ruby House. She married Kenneth James on May 28th, 1949. She is survived by her brother Clifford House (wife Carol) of Niagara Falls. Beloved mother of Margaret Winger (William) and Wilfred James (Louise). Cherished by her 5 Grandchildren, 10 Great- Grandchildren and one Great, Great Grandson. Lois worked and lived for most of her life in Fort Erie, ON and was a serving sister and officer of Order of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem the priory of Canada. She spent many hours serving St. John's and was very actively involved. Lois had a teacher's diploma from the Evangelical Teacher Training Association of Buffalo Bible School and was very involved in service to First Baptist Church in Fort Erie both in teaching and in Organ and Piano playing and music generally. Her love of music has been passed down through the generations. Special thanks to the excellent staff of Nithview, friends and family for their support with Lois's care. Lois's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, August 30th from 7-9 and Thursday, August 31st from 10-11am with the service following in the Chapel at 11am. Luncheon will follow the service with Internment in Fonthill @ 2pm.
