Obituary of Mildred Catharine Ogilvie

OGILVIE, Mildred "Millie". Passed away with her loving family at her side at the Douglas Memorial Hospital on Monday February 3, 2014 in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Dr. G. E. (Ted) Ogilvie (2002). Loving mother and best friend to Dr. Ted Ogilvie, Kathy Dickson and her husband Charlie. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer Richard (Jamie), Catharine Ogilvie (Jeremy), Scott Dickson (Melanie), Doug Ogilvie and Marjorie Dickson. Loving great-grandmother to Ethan Ogilvie, Emma Richard, Jack Dickson, Duke Dickson, Hannah Richard and Zain, Zach & Zia. Sister of Ruth Pickard and the late Russell Minks. Sister-in-law of Helen Ogilvie and the late Thomas Ogilvie. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Millie helped to establish Ogilvie Chiropractic Clinic in 1954. She enjoyed winters in Florida, creating memories for her family. She had a passion for dancing and painting. Special summer days were spent in Chautauqua with her 3 granddaughters. Millie lived by her words; "Work hard & play hard" and was an inspiration to all who knew her. Many thanks to Dr. Gleeson, Betty and Sue for their care and kindness shown to our beautiful mother.
