Obituary of Howard Douglas Cox

Our family lost a wonderful man on February 27th, 2014, with Howie's sudden passing at the Greater Niagara General Hospital while surrounded by his loving family at the age of 81. Loving husband and best friend of Toni (nee Griffin). Awesome and cherished father of Sheryl (Darrin) Cox, Glen Cox and Kristen (Levi) Cox. Admired and adored by his grandchildren Drew (Amie), Ryan (Victoria) and Avory. Also survived by his brother Jack (Vicky) Cox and sister Nancy (Ken) Magnus. Howie's extended family and many wonderful friends will sadly miss his humour, ever present smile. Predeceased by his sisters in law Lois and Dorothy. Howard was employed with Horton CBI for over 44 years. His love of people and outgoing personality touched many as a coach and mentor and were put to use after his retirement as a bartender and a Greeter at Walmart. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Tuesday March 4th from 2-4 & 6-9. We will celebrate this special man's life on Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock.
