Obituary of William Henry Chalmers Smith

Smith: William "Bill" Bill passed away at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Wednesday October 8th, 2014 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of the late Doris Marie (nee Stark). Proud father of Janet (William) Bright and Barbara Smith (Fredrick Runge). Cherished grandfather of Graham (Shannon) Runge, Alec Runge (Richelle), Meredith (Sergio) Barcenas, Fiona Bright and Richard Bright. Loving Great grandfather of Gloria and Damian. Cherished friend of Evelyn Marchuk. Bill was a retired Superintendent with the Niagara South Board of Education a well-known educator and mentor to many. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave. Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. A service to celebrate Bill's life will be held in the Benner Funeral Chapel on Wednesday October 15th at 11 am. A reception will follow. If so desired, donations to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
