Obituary of Leonarda DiMora

DiMora : Leonarda "Mimi" Leonarda passed away at the Gilmore Lodge Fort Erie on July 12th, 2018. Born November 26, 1929 in Realmonte Sicily to the late Giuseppe and Nunzzitta . A loving wife, mother and Nona. She and her loving husband Stefano were married 70 years. Survived by her son Domenic (Patricia) and his family: grandchildren Steven (Tiffany), Karla (John) and Michael (Yasmine) and great grandchildren Dominika, Louciano, Fiona and Phoebe. Sadly missed by her daughter Ninfa (Guy) and her family: grandchildren, Frank (Alie), Steve (Sabrina) and Melissa (Oscar). Also survived by her extended family that includes many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her siblings. The family express their appreciation for the love and care provided to Leonarda "Mimi" and the ongoing care of her husband Stefano by the wonderful staff of Gilmore Lodge. The honour guard ceremony was a heartfelt touch to the family. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Sunday July 15th from 4-8 pm. Parish prayers at 6:30. Funeral Services will take place in the Chapel on Monday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Donations to the Alzheimer's Society or Gilmore Lodge would be appreciated.
