I have only just seen this obituary, may Shirley Fretz’s gentle soul rest in peace. As a teenager, I was introduced to Shirley Fretz during a visit to Bumpe high school in Sierra Leone, to see my cousin Mr Joseph Muana who was the school’s boarding home master at the time. I felt and saw Shirley Fretz’s warmth and kindness to everyone around her. I will let others in Sierra Leone and elsewhere know, so that Shirley Fretz can be given a fitting remembrance for her dedication and service to Sierra Leone.
