Obituary of Philip Morris Johnston

JOHNSTON, Philip Morris - passed away at his home on Sunday, September 23, 2018 in his 77th year. Beloved husband of the late Mary Ann Johnston (nee Clohessy). Loving father of Jennifer Johnston (Richard de Vette) and Rebecca Johnston. Dear son of Evelyn Johnston and the late Howard Johnston. Cherished grandfather of Matthew and Anna. Dear brother of Edna Mae Johnston and Donna Lee Johnston. Predeceased by his sister Sharon Ann. Philip had a great love of horses and was a member of the Bertie Willoughby Saddle Club. For many years he raised Beagles and in his spare time enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, carpentry, gardening and reading. Philip retired from GM as a foundry worker in 1996 when he was 55. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive their friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 26th from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday after 1 p.m. where a service to celebrate his life will be held at 2 o'clock. Interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Snyder. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
