Obituary of Eric Charles Hancock

September 20, 1928 – January 15, 2025

On January 15, 2025, Eric Charles Hancock went home to be with the Lord. Eric is predeceased by his loving wife Patricia (1936-2010), after 54 years of marriage; his father, Charles (1884-1964) and mother, Julia (1889-1992). Eric is survived by his children: Julia Storring (Dave), Janet Smith (Ray), Doug Hancock (Debrah) and Scott Hancock. Eric is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and his great great grandchild. Eric enjoyed many activities like parachute jumping, building/flying remote control planes, woodworking & building furniture. He had a love for music and enjoyed playing his accordion, guitar and organ. Eric was a long-time mason at the Fort Erie Palmer Lodge. Eric had a vast knowledge & interest in history and enjoyed reading authentic historical war books. At 83, Eric became an icon at the Fort Erie golf course.

Visitation for Eric will be at Benner Funeral Services on Thursday January 23, 2025 from 1-3 & 6-8 p.m. A Masonic Lodge service 5:30 p.m.

Funeral Service will be at Benners Friday January 24th at 11 a.m. Interment to follow Greenwood Cemetery.
